Welcome to our sample video clips page. Here we will post short clips from Eric Bravos horse training videos.

Flexing Your Horse

Flexing is a good horse training exercise that serves two purposes. First it helps get your horse light and responsive to the reins. Second, it teaches your horse an emergency stop. If your horse ever takes off on you, you can flex him to shut him down. For that to work you've got to practice first, on the ground and then in the saddle. Practice makes perfect-you should flex every time you get your horse out and do it 10 times or 20 times on each side. The goal is to make it automatic.  In this sample video clip horse trainer Eric Bravo demonstrates flexing in the saddle.

How to Catch A Horse

Many people have problems catching their horse, and resort to trying to bribe the horse with grain or treats, or chasing the horse around until both you and the horse are exhausted. What people don't realize is that catching a horse that doesn't want to be caught is an opportuntity to start horse training, and it is actually one of the most important aspects of interaction with your horse. This is because if you understand horse psychology you can apply it to establish leadership with your horse during catching-and do it without even touching the horse or trying to coax him to come to you with a carrot. In this horse training video Eric Bravo introduces techniques he can teach you to catch any horse.

Horseback Riding

Training your horse doesn't stop on the ground. Many people want to just jump in the saddle and ride, but if you want a safe horseback riding experience then you need to continue your horse training in the saddle. In this horse training video horse trainer Eric Bravo demonstrates some of the methods he can teach you to make your horse light and responsive while riding. This also makes a horse safer, whether in the arena or on the trail.
